Transformative Therapy Intensives & Weekly Therapy
Sometimes weekly therapy isn’t enough — and life doesn’t always slow down to match a 50-minute hour. Alabama Intensives offers extended 3 to 4 hour sessions designed for women who are ready to do focused, in-depth work on a specific issue.
Intensives are ideal for processing complex trauma, dissociation, anger, betrayal, upsetting events, phobias, and emotional blocks that impact daily life and relationships. They can also address the emotional components of physical pain.
What makes intensives different is the depth of transformation they make possible. Many of us carry blocks — emotional, physical, relational — that have quietly shaped our lives for years. These patterns can feel stubborn or even immovable in traditional weekly therapy, where time constraints often mean stopping just as the real work begins. The extended format changes that. With 3 to 4 uninterrupted hours, there is space to go beneath the surface, release what has been held, and arrive at genuine resolution rather than just insight.
In many cases, a single intensive session can accomplish what would take 4 to 6 weekly appointments — not because the work is rushed, but because the time allows it to be completed.
Intensives are designed for transformation. Whether you are working through a specific traumatic event, struggling with anger or betrayal that keeps resurfacing, dealing with a phobia that limits your life, or feeling disconnected from yourself in ways that are hard to name, this format was built for exactly that kind of deep, targeted work.
For women who prefer ongoing support, weekly individual therapy is also available through Welcome Life Counseling.
